Free camps for all 1st - 12th grade Bedford County kids start June 15

When school ends this year the fun will begin! The Bedford County After School and After 3 programs will have extended summer programming open to all Bedford County youth - but space is limited, so enroll soon!

Local academic camps in county's five school districts

Each school district elementary and middle/high school will have summer camp from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Activities will include academics, enrichment - especially related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), nutrition, health and wellness, recreation and service learning. Transportation will be provided to and from school from student homes or area drop-offs. Each district will also provide breakfast and lunch.

Camps will operate:

Bedford, Chestnut Ridge, Everett: June 1 - June 30, Monday through Fridays

Tussey Mountain: June 1 - June 30, Monday through Thursdays

Northern Bedford County: June 10 - June 30, Mondays through Fridays

STEAM camp at Bedford County Tech Center

As we have in the past, the After 3 programs will also sponsor a STEAM camp at the Bedford County Technical Center - Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with two sessions each day. The camp is open to incoming 6th-12th graders. Explore cooking, art, stained glass, animation, film-making and more in the 2 hour sessions each day. Through the month of June you can ride the bus into your home schools and then hop on a bus to and from the Tech Center - and your district will provide you with a bagged lunch.

The program runs June 1 - July 7. The last week you'll need to get to your home school to catch the bus to the Tech Center.
